With over a century of innovation in sanitaryware, the Alape brand is synonymous with achieving the perfect symbiosis of material, shape and function. Quality and precision engineering is valued as significantly as the overall visual impact, an uncompromised devotion to purist form.
Partnering with architect Dieter Sieger, Industrial designers’ Busalt and the London architect Yorgo Lykouria they have successfully applied their design expertise to the rigorous demands of the Alape brand to develop Alape’s ‘A Form’ and ‘A System’ ranges.
The ‘A Form’ range comprises a definitive collection of basins, washstands, bucket-sinks, bathroom mirrors, bathroom lighting and shelf units. made-to-measure custom-tailored basin solutions
All Alape Basins and Washstands are made of glazed steel, a material with properties which are more advanced, in many ways, to traditional ceramics. Glazed steel not only allows for precision engineering, it is also extremely tough, colour-brilliant and hard-wearing. The glazing is non-porous, guaranteeing an optimal hygienic and non-corrosive surface.
The ‘A System’ range provides the perfect bathroom storage solution, with its collection of add-on modular furniture systems, offering both standard dimensions and made to measure solutions. Using a simple material palette of either wood, stone or glass, their individual attributes enhance, rather than detract from the purely formal qualities of the cabinetry. With natural stone and wood, the unique variations in colour and texture transform each piece into a bespoke one-off product.
